We present our fourth highlight for the 2026 A. Rose NFP Black History Month Community Spotlight Campaign, Dr. Jennifer Caldwell!

 

Dr. Caldwell received her Ph.D. in Genetics and Human Genetics from Howard University, located in Washington, DC, in 2021. Dr. Caldwell was nominated for the A. Rose Black History Month Community Spotlight Campaign because of her work in combining genetic ancestry analysis and community-engaged research strategies. Her research interests are centered around community-engaged genomics research that emphasizes ancestry, genetic literacy, and trust-building through culturally grounded partnerships.
