In Chicago, a stark contrast exists in life expectancy between different communities. Residents in wealthier neighborhoods can expect to live up to 85.5 years, while those in underprivileged areas may have a life expectancy as low as 71.4 years. This disparity is largely due to systemic healthcare inequities affecting underrepresented and BIPOC populations. Reference Link: chicago.gov

A. Rose Nonprofit is committed to bridging this divide by focusing on education, community engagement, and advocacy. By partnering with local organizations and healthcare professionals, we aim to provide resources and support to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare for all Chicagoans.

Understanding the Root Causes

Health disparities in Chicago are influenced by various factors, including socioeconomic status, access to nutritious food, and availability of healthcare services. For instance, approximately 231,963 Chicagoans have limited access to supermarkets, impacting their ability to maintain a healthy diet. Reference Link: chicago.gov
